Over the past 20 years, I have created  hundreds of videos for many different projects. Each client has a different goal and a different style to be achieved. I own all my own camera equipment for top of the line video production and editing.

 

One of the most important things about video creation is learning your clients goals and understanding the target audience. What does it take to build a website? I believe website development is so much more than just making a nice looking website.

I believe there are several elements that factor into creating an effective website:

Professionalism – Your website reflects your business. Professionalism is one of the most important things about creating a website. You need your site to fit the proper target of who you are looking to attract and look great doing it.

Design – You need to look professional but you also need a design that fits with your style and brand. Colors, layout, fonts, images all contribute to a prefect design. How do I create a perfect design for you? I do my research! I also always charge 50% deposit to start and 50% once the site is launched and you are happy with it. It is the best way to ensure you leave with a site that you love (you do not pay the final payment until you are happy)

 

Target/ Research – Who is your target audience? Who is your competition? What makes your company unique? How do you stand above the rest? I think it is important to take the time to properly learn about the product or service that the website represents. In the beginning of every website development, I spend hours looking into what is working and not working for other companies and who the competition is. What key words might someone search to find you? I learn your product in and out to do the best possible marketing for it. The design process also should keep your target audience in mind at all times. Is it young and funky program for teens? Artsy and underground? Corporate? Clean and Classy? There are endless styles, but knowing your audience helps me to develop a perfect site for your needs.

 

Organization – Websites that are confusing or get you lost within pages quickly lose viewers. It is important to organize all the content into an easy to navigate and visually appealing manner. I spend the time learning what content you want to include and help find ways that will organize it properly. Do you need a youtube channel? Facebook page? Instagram? What ads might you run? An online store? How can these help your company? 20 years of marketing experience in all aspects of media has made me knowledgeable in the overall use of online marketing (Thinking past JUST creating a website). All of these marketing techniques are kept in mind while developing the best way to organize your website.

 

SEO (People finding your site) – SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the key to having your site pop up when people are searching relevant terms. Getting the site launched and listed in the main search engines is important to every website. While google is most popular, many programmers forget about Bing (the default search engine on EVERY new windows machine). When I launch a website, I ensure to get it listed in the main directories and pass you tips to help it rank in the most popular search engines. I do offer additional SEO support, but every initial website build comes with SEO in mind while developing the website.

Maintenance – Keeping your site updated with new information helps it in search engines and keeps your audience up to date. When HTML hand code programming was one of the only routes, updates were timely and costly. I now develop sites in software that allows clients to login and do easy updates. Once the site is complete, we do a 30 minute consultation to explain how to login and make edits or add Blog entries and store products. You have control over what you choose to add in the future, but the professional design, SEO and website structure is already there for you. This way you do not have to be tied into always needing to pay a programmer for every little update.

Allow me to introduce myself—I’m Rosie Moyer, the creative force behind Mind Spin Media. I’ve been passionate about both video and photography pretty much since childhood. In high school, I could always be found in either the TV studio or the graphics lab, editing videos and loving every minute of it. While in grade 12, I competed against hundreds of industry professionals to win the national Radius award for my video editing skills.

After graduation, I was accepted into Vancouver Film School, where I was able to hone my skills and release my creativity in a myriad of ways. I pushed the envelope from what was the norm, took risks, and stretched my imagination to new levels.  I became a jack of all trades; web, 3D, audio, video, and graphics. I loved media, and knew that it was my calling. I graduated with a certificate of excellence, along with several provincial awards. Three videos that I produced while in school aired on the Much Music TV channel.

After film school, I started working with Channel 1 Media Solutions. For the past nineteen years, I’ve created videos for hundreds of clients and many professional sports teams, including NHL, CFL, NBA, and NFL teams. I also freelanced, creating videos, websites, and marketing tools for numerous companies, musicians and clients.

Being a proud entrepreneur, I have over the years launched my own award-winning photography company, Little Laughs Photography Art, while still crafting multimedia projects and coaching others on new business start ups.

I know how to take a vision or an idea from a thought and turn it into a reality, and I’m excited to work with both previous and new clients focusing on doing what I love to do, and creating amazing results. Welcome to Mindspin Media!

 

The world of online marketing can be time consuming and overwhelming. I currently manage instagram, facebook, youtube and adwords accounts for several different clients. I offer monthly packages to maintain social media accounts for my clients.

 

I am also able to work with google analytics to track exact client usage online and see what areas need improvement. Ad campaigns can be beneficial and each platform has its benefits. I have also previously done marketing consulting to teach business owners tips on social media business growth. I also have experience managing different business listing platforms such as google, bing, yelp and yellowpages. I have been doing corporate headshots, product photography and event photography for over 15 years, covering award ceremonies, Christmas parties, book launches, retirement parties, business conferences and so much more.

Event photography prices start at $650 for up to 4 hours. Event packages also include all the digital files (often hundreds of files) and slight editing.

In the age of social media, our websites and online profiles represent us. Having professional photos is very important. I have done many types of headshot photography for both individuals and teams. Clients are welcome to come in studio (I have a home based studio by appointment) or choose another location. I can also do large groups and come to your office to capture everyone at once.

I am located in Calgary, Alberta but have been able to do projects around the world. I am always up for travel, and a lot of work can be done online. I do have a home based studio for my photography and video projects. My studio is located in Panorama (NW Calgary).
